Barrage ranger in PvP
Hi guys,
I have experienced some barrage using ranger PvP matches, although I see them not being the main shot killer, but I find the effect very interesting.
Baically, they sometimes hurt a few folks at the same time, which can draw the monk's attention off healing the same player.
So having been thinking about it, I have come up with the possibile idea, please feel free to comment:
Barrage
Savage
Pind down
Defence
Fav Wind
Wino
Troll
Rez Sig
The two sprits is to increase as much DMG as possibile, since barrage takes away all the perps.
I have taken defence as a show case here, but as a R/Me, I usually take Distortion.
Pin down the apply some control on their formation.
Marksmanship: 16
Wild: 10
Expertise: 9
Aim to gear around the max damge, and due to that barrage cost very less to run throughout the match, expertise is enough staying at 9, the eng costing move would be the pin down shot (and distortion for a R/Me).
Let me know what you think.

I find slapping Judge's Insight on with 2 spirits works great; as an enchantment, barrage doesn't strip it away. The only problem with this is energy, as losing 10 blue points every 12 seconds or so makes persistent maintainance of the enchantment hard. Still, how does it sound?

If you were going for hitting several at once, it doesn't happen often... especially since warriors should be the last targeted. IMO you could find a better elite to fit the idea of putting pressure on the monks. And I'd point out that as long as your monk is in Winnow Range, those pesky warriors (assuming they're using physical weapons) will get a free +4 damage per hit. That could easily be more than a monk is prepared to handle. Favorable Winds still helps the other side, but even if it didn't, it only takes a few whacks to kill. Spirits to me are just space robbers in PvP, unless it's used in a very organized, planned and thought out way (ie, spike, EoE Bombs...etc).
